If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve your account before you can access PathwAI. By approving a student account, a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the student's behalf and consents to the collection and processing of the student's data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@pathwai.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
Parent and guardian accounts: Parents and guardians may create accounts to manage their student's college prep journey. When a parent creates an account for a student, the parent accepts these Terms on the student's behalf. Parents are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information entered for their students.
PathwAI operates on a subscription and credit-based model. Credits are consumed when using AI-powered features. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe you were billed in error.
PathwAI uses artificial intelligence to generate college recommendations, roadmap tasks, essay feedback, and counseling advice. This content is provided for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute professional educational, legal, or financial advice. Admissions decisions are made solely by colleges and universities. PathwAI makes no guarantees regarding admission outcomes.

Essay coaching: PathwAI's essay coaching feature is designed as a coaching tool. It asks students questions to help them surface their own stories and ideas. Students are responsible for writing their own essays and for ensuring any content submitted to colleges is their own original work. Submitting AI-generated content as original student work may violate Common App policy and individual college honor codes. PathwAI does not encourage or facilitate the submission of AI-generated content as original student work.

PathwAI and its content, features, and functionality are owned by PathwAI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create (essays, profile information). By uploading content, you grant PathwAI a limited license to process it to provide our services.
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Key points:
Parents and guardians who create or approve student accounts on PathwAI take on responsibility for appropriate use of the platform by their student. PathwAI provides parents with the ability to review and manage their student's account data.
A parent's consent to their student's account constitutes an agreement to these Terms on the student's behalf and an acknowledgment of our data practices described in the Privacy Policy. Parents may revoke consent and request account deletion at any time by contacting privacy@pathwai.app.
PathwAI may, in its sole discretion, suspend or terminate access to any account where misuse of the parental consent system is suspected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PathwAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to college admissions outcomes, reliance on AI-generated advice, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
PathwAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific college admission result will be achieved.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the PathwAI platform shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
